Message 1 of 2. Auto Cad materials library. Please tell me how to load the full materials and lighting library to my Auto Cad Tool Palette. I know it is on the installation disk but my disk got lost, stolen or misplaced.
Can't find Generic Lights or Photmetric Lights along with others that seem to have got lost. Watched today's webinar on materials which was very educational I am not much of a forum user.
Do you think you can post the code where this is failing? From experience I know sometimes certain methods won't be available between versions. I'll gladly post my own code in the form of an answer if applicable, but I need to understand what the OP is trying to do in the big picture.

Stack Gives Back Hi, I'm really hoping somebody can help with this I have an Access database that contains code to extract the drawing title and revision information from AutoCAD and populate the database fields with it. Currently I have the ' acax18enu. Obviously the type library does not exist on these machines, so the database will refuse to run because of the missing type library.
What I am trying to find is a way to 'demand load' the type library only when that piece of the code is executed - i. Through other measures, this piece of code is unlikely to be executed on a machine without AutoCAD, and this way even if it is I can trap it and flag the problem to the user before it runs.
This code only makes up a very small part of the full functionality of the database, and it is critical that the database is available on non draughting machines. Since I can't distribute the type library to other machines, I think this is my only option. So, if anyone knows how to late bind a type library in VBA I would be most grateful if they could share with the rest of us. To do late binding, all you do is declare a var as Object.
